by Los on Sep.17, 2009, under Photography, live music
I know its been a couple weeks since Liskfest, but Im a busy guy. So Here ya go…
As I Lay Dying was fun, it was my first time seeing them in years, im guessing at least 5, with Zao, and before, that, was when I booked them for “Ruckus Fest” some of you might remember that (a show of 22 bands in 2 days I booked in October of 2001 with bands like: ASID, Sinai Beach, Anguish Unsaid, Falling Cycle, John G, Hit the Deck and tons of other rad bands!)
Anyways, heres a few photos, these were the last photos I took of the night. Click on the photo to see the entire set and more from Liskfest 2.0

by Los on Sep.06, 2009, under Photography, live music
So lastnight was Liskfest 2.0. Another awesome sweat filled festival with an awesome line up. A big mix as far as the crowd goes. The heat was intense but none the less the show was epic. Got to see some of my favorite bands and missed friends.
I’ll be posting photos for the next few days. For right now, here’s some photos from Sleeping Giant’s set (click on the photo for more):

The new mewithoutYou album “it’s all crazy! it’s all false! it’s all a dream! it’s alright” drops tomorrow. Ive been waiting for this for so long. I really cant say any band has litterally changed my life as this one has. Men like David, after the very heart of G-d. Check out some music on www.myspace.com/mewithoutyou
Earth Crisis
by Los on May.16, 2009, under Personal Post, Tattoos 2008, Vegan, iPhone, live music
So lastnight I found out Earth Crisis was playing, thank G-d I found out when i did, they were so good! I love how there was nothing but older kids there. Felt like highschool all over again with all the familiar faces. Force of change played their last show and i was lucky enough to catch the last few songs. Reign Supreme played, which was ironic because I was moshing in my car to them on my way work earlier that day. Lots of good friends, lots of straight edge and vegan pride. Good times, till my crap was missing… seriously… Karma will get you… Email me if you have any info… Gotta stay posi.. heres some pix:
Sleeping Giant at Facedown Fest 2009
by Los on Apr.06, 2009, under Faith, Photography, live music
These Sleeping Giant shows are getting better and better…
I havent been to a facedown fest since the 2nd one. Its been a while…
There was tons of energy, hearing the crowd singing over the band was almost overwhelming.
My favorite part was after the show. Prayer, and healing of the sick. A crowed gathered around Thom across the street. People were saved, and ace bandages and arm slings were skept as souvenirs from healings. This is what theyre talking about… the sleeping giant is awaking.
Bleeding Through Tour 3/09
by Los on Mar.30, 2009, under Personal Post, Photography, live music
This tour was amazing. Short for me, but some of the best times ive ever had.
Wednesday I flew up to Seattle meet up with the guys, seattle is pretty rad. Nice people, lots of hippies. The show was pretty fun. After the show, there was an awesome hotdog stand outside with vegan hotdogs!
We arrived in Portland on thursday. Beautiful city, its been a while since i was there. Ryan and i walked around town early in the morning to grab some food, and to go vintage shopping we found an amazing owl to put over a candle or a light bulb inside of it. I also found a freemason bible. totally creepy. Ryan also found a rad full color Ramones shirt (which later got him a $5 deal on a $5 foot long. lol) I did some anti Canada tattoos. Then later that day Jona and i went on a quest and took a $40 round trip cab ride to a vegan pup where we got vegan meatball subs, speghetti and meatballs, grilled cheese, and seasoned tofu. Then onto Voodoo Doughnuts where we got, yes, vegan doughnuts. Definitely worth the taxi ride. Later the show was fun. Great crowd response.
Next stop was San Francisco. We woke up to the bus crossing the bridge, passing alcatraz and into the end of the city. Did some walking around then headed back to the venue to do some tattooing. This part was my highlight of the trip. The San Francisco green room consisted of, circle pitting to minor threat, beard trimming, tattoos, laser show and DJing meshuggah and Biggie. Best time ever.
Last but not least was Hollyweird. This was a very special night. Right before the show, Wombys mom and dad came out. I tattooed Ryan’s hand, it was “M <3 M” on his hand. His mom filled in the heart with red. Then I had the honor of tattooing his mom’s HAND! And so did Ryan, He filled in the heart. Lots of friends came out and hungout. The crowd was nuts!
Thank you too all the bands who were there to make this trip amazing. I had such a great time. I cant wait to do this again.
Theres about 300 pictures, click on the one above to go to flickr to see the set…
